"This is who we are." MillenniuM was a one-hour dramatic thriller created by Chris Carter, the multi-award-winning executive producer and creator of The X-Files. The series is about the struggle between the forces of good and evil as the year 2000 approaches. Sadly, FOX cancelled this show after the 1998 season. I suppose it got too inaccessible for the masses.
"The truth is out there." The X-Files chronicles FBI agents Mulder and Scully as they investigate FBI unsolved cases -- called "X-files" -- whose only solution involves paranormal or unexplained phenomena.
"To boldly go where no one has gone before." STAR TREK began in 1966 as a science fiction television show created by Gene Roddenberry. Today, STAR TREK is as alive and strong as ever. Although STAR TREK's primary mission has always been to entertain, in the process it has become a phenomenon in and of itself. The combination of STAR TREK and its loyal fans are much more than the sum of the parts; together, they represent a distinctive element in popular culture.
The Babylon Project was conceived in the aftermath of the Earth-Minbari war. Modeled after the United Nations, it would be a meeting place, neutral ground where the powers could meet and work out their differences peacefully. Babylon 5 is the story of the last of the Babylon space stations, the last hope for a galaxy without war. It begins in the year 2257 with the opening of the Babylon 5 station.
"And now for something completely different." The quintessential British Comedy.
The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
"The game is afoot!" A series by England's Granada Television featuring Jeremy Brett, possibly the best Holmes ever."I have a cunning plan." Blackadder is a British comedy series starring Rowan Atkinson that spans from the 15th century all the way up to World War I, with some stops in between, and one stop in the future. One viewer noted that Blackadder is to ordinary TV what being a millionaire aristocrat with the sexual capacity of a rutting rhino is to standing in the middle of a pond with a small painted wooden duck on your head.
"Smeg-head!" A Brit-Com about the survivors of a radiation leak aboard the mining ship Red Dwarf.
A mostly silent Brit-Com featuring Rowan Atkinson's talents at physical comedy.
Another Brit-Com featuring the talents of Rowan Atkinson in the role of an up-tight, anal rententive British constable.
This animated comedy series was created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker. Airing on Comedy Central since 1997, it follows the surreal adventures of four eight-year-old boys who live in the small town of South Park, Colorado. South Park satirizes many aspects of American culture and current events, challenges deepset convictions and taboos, and quite often tops everything off with a thick coat of black humor.
Visit Springfield, home of the Simpsons.
This was one of the most original 90's prime-time cartoon series on television.
